For Immediate Release

On Friday, September 13th, the Northeast Florida Chapter was recognized as a Capstone Chapter. For the fifth consecutive year, the Chapter achieved the highest level of recognition which can be earned by a local Chapter by the University of Missouri Alumni Association. This recognition again allows the NEFL Chapter to award a $4,000 scholarship to a deserving local student who elects to attend the University of Missouri. “I am extremely proud of the hard work and tireless dedication of our Executive Committee and for the valued support of our members”, said Chapter President, Matt Krueger. A few highlights for the prior year include:
– Successfully raised over $25,000 for the Chapter’s Endowed Scholarship Program,
– Held the first-ever Veterans Seminar outside the state of Missouri
– Tiger tailgate in Gainesville for the Florida-Mizzou football game
– Held multiple football watch parties including the Liberty Bowl game
– Held an alumni reunion at the Mizzou – University of North Florida baseball game
– Conducted the first Shakespeare’s Pizza Night with Mark Lamping, President of the Jacksonville Jaguars
